This is perhaps the most difficult 170 yard par three in Allegheny county. Played by the long hitters with a six- or seven-iron, or the shorter among us with a fairway metal, there is simply no place to miss the green! To the left is a deep slope (and even a creek!) from which a high, accurate recovery is required. Short of the green is a thin fairway which slopes back towards the tee, and in dry conditions balls have been known to land in the fairway and slowly back up into the rough. And long? A dramatic rough-covered slope awaits, from which you'll be trying to stop your pitch on a green that rolls away from you. Sometimes, finding one of the two bunkers off the tee is a relief! Yes, the green slopes from back to front, and the tier in the middle of the green provides hours of amusement. And then, if you're walking, you pray that someone will come along with a cart, so that you can avoid the climb up to sixteen tee.
